LEAP - Local Number Portability Enhanced Analytical Platform
Savvy criminals stop at nothing to cover their tracks, including switching telephone carriers repeatedly. Neustar has developed the LEAP system to provide qualified U.S. law enforcement agencies the means to determine current service provider information for telephone numbers, the service provider name, the legal point of contact and the porting history. Whether searches are a pen register, trap-and-trace or a Title III or Title 50 wiretap, agencies need to conduct searches as quickly and efficiently as possible to deliver accurate subpoenas without delay. Less time spent on the manual production of subpoenas gives agents more time to spend in the field conducting investigations.
LEAP provides a web interface that provides flexibility on telephone number searches. Numbers are added:
- by individual telephone number
- by telephone number range
- input up to 100 telephone numbers separated by commas
- by file upload (.xls or .csv) of up to 100 telephone numbers
- via a simple application programming interface (API) for greater volumes of searches
LEAP provides an alternative solution to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR).
